Front Entrance
The elegance of the face chiseled flagstone combined with a high-end precast paver makes for a beautiful, spacious and welcoming entrance.
The key to modernize an entrance to current standards is to open the space by widening the landings and stairs. The house had a set of stairs along the front wall, by creating multiple tiered stairs with beautiful stone work, it allowed us to balance the ratio of stairs to planting.
The landscape, to complement the skillfully built hardscape, is an other key element for a successful entrance. Carefully chosen, the plants should draw attention to the highlight of the design. In this example: the stairs. Size, texture, colours, shape or type of plantings should always be tailored to the site requirements and respect the house style.
Private Garden
Not only do we strive to beautify your Front Entrance and raise the curb appeal of your property but we also tackle private oasis in the back!
With our team of professional, experienced builders we will realize your backyard dreams, whether it is a relaxing zen garden, a will to grow vegetables, a place to lay low and escape the kids or a proper playground for the same kids! We tailor each design to our client’s wish-list and budget so that every project feels personal and custom.
Our Designer as well as Owner both work collaboratively to produce the best designs. While the front of your property should possess a more rich, welcoming and formal aesthetic, the back should aim to be an area of relaxation, a place that makes you feel as if nature was meeting you halfway to offer its best qualities.
Once the build is finished, our clients often cannot believe how much their home have changed, expanded and how much more use and enjoyment they get from being outside with their loved ones.
In this project, the clients had an overgrown, dysfunctional garden that led them to abandon the joy of being outdoor. They could not bare to see their garden like that when they took so much care of the inside of their house. When we took on the project, we decided to start fresh and get rid of everything. Most of the time, we aim to keep and recycle for environmental reasons, however this project needed more than a makeover!
After several meeting to discuss elements needed in a design, set a budget and make measurements, our designer was able to come up with a preliminary design for the client to review. Once the design is approved, we created a contract to be signed that acted as a document to track each phase of the project.
The design process depending on the size of the space could take between a few days to a 2-3 weeks. The building time will be similar to this.
After the projects are built we offer guidance to our clients to help them maintain their new garden. Being a new gardener can be overwhelming but is often a matter of few key elements that will make your garden thrive. With our help we are fully confident you will have a thriving, lasting beautiful garden!
Other examples of our projects located in the Burlington Area. Above is a garden that had many limitations due to extreme slope at the back and drainage restraints. The clients were amazed by the results when before there was absolutely nothing.
The project on the left is a Mediterranean design for their Millcroft garden. Our very busy clients needed an oasis to entertain as well as relax in and around the pool while enjoying some much needed greenery. Tailored planting plan and design offered solutions to deal with site limitations such as run off water from neighboring properties, extremely hot backyard, and an already existing pool. Our designing and building team were very proud of the result
Natural Playground
Ideal playground for some lucky kids in Waterdown. This project features a custom hill slide reusing one existing structure to minimize the environmental impact of the project, new path to facilitate circulation through outdoor spaces, repurposed lion’s head to create entrance for tunnel, several stepping logs and a climbing log to entertain the very active kids of that daycare.
Creating a natural playground requires a good understanding of children behaviours and needs towards playing. To create the optimal place for kids to bond and playfully learn, a playground needs to allow for freedom, physical activity, educational opportunities and social bonding.
We were thrilled to help this daycare get a safe, creative and environmentally friendly natural playground.
